Tips to score Top Marks in I & II PU English | How to score Top Marks in I & II P.U. English!


Hello Students


Let me share here some useful tips to help you present your answers the best way to score Top marks in English!


1. Good handwriting creates the best impression; pay attention every time you write.
 
2. Legibility ultimately rewards you unbelieveably: answers should be within the margins and do not scribble nor should you scratch.
 
3. MCQs should be answered by writing the correct answer. Ex: a) Torches.
 
4. A paragraph answer question should be answered in a paragraph of about 3/4 of a page or a page length answer.
 
5. Focus on correct spelling and grammar.

6. Underline key points / keywords wherever needed and “quote” lines if necessary from the text book.

7. TWO Mark answers need to answered in a sentence or two.

8. THREE Mark answers could be written in half a page. Introduction is not needed.

9. FOUR Mark answers can include a short intro & conclusion.

10. Write answers clearly for 'Fill-in-the blanks'. You may not repeat the question.

11. Answer more questions from “Reported Speech / Indirect Speech” to understand easily. and Letter should be written according to the prescribed format.

12. Finally, plan your time, just relax and answer. Recheck your answers for any possible mistakes / anything forgotten.
